Da Nang is known for its beautiful beaches, a favorite R & R spot for US troups during the war.
There is a formal parkway and beach closest to town... then, as you move towards the outskirts, the high end luxury resorts begin.
The further you go out, the more the beach us under construction for new resorts and condos.
We were told a lot of the construction is foreign investment... China, Japan, ?...
We were also told that locals only used the beaches in the early morning and evening leaving the hot beaches to tourists and mad Englishmen.
